Having moved out of the apartment yesterday, today was the day for all of the packing and shipping of our stuff to the US. I spent all day at Sunshine Plaza with the Asian Tigers as they packed up 43 boxes for the sea shipment at 3 boxes for the air shipment. Wow. I never imagined that we had accumulated that much stuff over that past 2 years.

I stopped into work briefly to pick up my passport which now has my new China visa. Just in time for my trip on Monday to Shanghai.

Now I am back at Fraser Suites relaxing and reunited with Ivy and Raffles.

We are still doing well.

We have now moved into the new apartment at Fraser Suites. Its great. The people here were really nice during the check-in process, especially since I didn't have any ID with me. My passport and EP are in the Chinese Embassy right now.

The apartment has a washer and dryer, separate kitchen and a nice little balcony. The building has a pool, daily housekeeping, business center and gym. Almost like staying at a suite in a hotel.

Raffles is exploring the place now, trying to get used to his new home.

We are in our final moments of the Sunshine Plaza era. We are moving out today at 2pm. We have moved all of our stuff to the living room and guest bedroom so that it will be easier for the packers/shippers to see what goes by sea vs by air.

Tomorrow the packers arrive and all of our stuff will be sent to the US.

Then on Saturday we have professional cleaners coming in to get the apartment all fixed up. Sunday we hand the keys over to the landlord.

Will be a pretty busy next couple of days. We'll see how Raffles adjusts to the new home. Will put some pictures of the place soon!

I will only be at work for a 1/2 day and the off on Friday to help supervise the packing.

Can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Dinner last night with the Grants was great! My particular favorite was the Australian Cheddar cheese and grapes. Yummy.

This afternoon Ivy and I are going to see Eagle Eye at the cinema. Should be fun! I just watched the trailer on Youtube moments ago.

It has been a lazy Sunday morning. I was not feeling to good late last night. Headache, fever, sore throat and chills. But today is much better. Yay! Hope it stays that way.

Ivy and I are currently in the taxi heading for the Shangri-la Hotel to have dinner with Chris and Rachelle Grant! Woo hoo!

Last night Ivy and I were out at Quarubar for the Colombian group's farewell at Dempsey Hill. I added a couple of pictures of the bar to the albums on the right.

Today has been pretty relaxing. Had lunch with Michelle and Miguel Vilar earlier today. It was nice to spend time with them. They recently moved to Singapore for a similar expat assignment.
