One other thing I forgot to mention.....

 

Just after coming back from Vietnam, we went on the Singapore Flyer!  We went really early in the morning on Saturday and had a private cabin! Not because we paid for a private cabin, but because it was really early in the morning and everyone was still sleeping.    Very similar to the London Eye. It was a nice experience. The view wasn't as spectacular as in London, but the Singapore Flyer is bigger.....

Hello again!

 

I know it has been a long time since I have updated the blog, but I will try and get caught up and post more regularly for sure!   It has been really busy the past month with work and vacation.  Ivy and I took a week long vacation to Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam and had a wonderful time.  It was en eye-opening experience.  I have posted some pictures  and video from the trip on the right.  We stayed at the Norfolk Hotel right down town and were walking distance from many of the sites that we wanted to visit.  We took two guided tours during the week and also walked around on our own.  We took a tour to the Mekong Delta and saw life on the river as well as a tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels.  On our own walking tour we went to the War Remnants Museum, Benh Thanh Market and then later to Notre Dame and the Official Post Office.  It was a nice trip. 

 

Now we are back in Singapore and back in our usual routine. 

 

This weekend is a three day weekend!! woo hoo!! we have been to the cinema twice so far! We saw Superhero Movie and Ironman.  They were good movies.  Tonight we are going to see Forbidden Kingdom with the Patels and the Spences.

 

We have also been looking at properties and apartments in preparation for our repatriation to the US in Decemer. 

 

I will keep this space update much more often.
